Shockwave therapy is not suitable for those who:
* Are pregnant
* Had a steroid injection to the site within the last twelve weeks
* Have a blood clotting disorder
* Are taking antiplatelet or anticoagulant medication
* Have cancer or infection to the treatment area
* Are under 18 (with the exception of Osgood Schlatters disease)

Each therapy session lasts between 20 and 30 minutes depending on the disorder being treated.

You may experience some discomfort during treatment but the pain should be tolerable. Due to the analgesic effect of Shockwave Therapy many patients report immediate pain relief following treatment.
